Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
– more oxygen under elevated pressure
During HBOT you breathe highly concentrated oxygen through a BIBS mask while the pressure inside the chamber is raised in a controlled way. The combination of elevated pressure and high oxygen concentration allows more oxygen to be transported dissolved in the blood plasma and become available to the body’s tissues.
At Noid, treatment is tailored to your circumstances, needs and goals. Pressure, treatment length and number of sessions can therefore vary from person to person.
Broad support for the body’s recovery and repair processes
When you breathe highly concentrated oxygen under elevated pressure, the amount of oxygen that can be transported dissolved in the blood plasma increases. That increases oxygen availability in the body’s tissues and affects several physiological processes important for recovery, repair and regulation.
HBOT is therefore used across several medical fields and is also studied in the context of recovery and health optimization. At Noid, treatment is used based on your individual circumstances and as part of a broader, tailored programme.
Recovery & function
Supports the body’s natural healing processes after exertion, can improve oxygen delivery and reduce fatigue.
Rehabilitation
Stimulates new blood vessel formation and supports tissue with reduced circulation during injury and rehabilitation.
Energy & performance
Supports both physical and mental performance through better recovery.
Stress, recovery & balance
Helps reduce perceived stress and create balance. Many report better relaxation between demanding periods.
Your HBOT treatment is individual
HBOT is not a treatment where the same protocol suits everyone. At Noid we tailor the programme to your individual circumstances, your health situation and the goal of treatment.
Before your first session you fill in a thorough health questionnaire and we go through relevant contraindications and safety factors. We also recommend starting with our biofunctional health check-up, so HBOT can be placed in a wider context and become part of an individually tailored plan.
A thorough review
You fill in a health questionnaire and we go through your health situation, relevant contraindications and other factors that can affect treatment.
Tailored pressure & time
Treatment pressure and session time are tailored to your circumstances and your programme. A session is usually 65 minutes and can, if needed, be up to 90 minutes.
Follow-up & progression
How many sessions are recommended and how treatment develops over time depends on your individual programme. We follow how you respond and can adjust the protocol along the way.
HBOT is not suitable for everyone. That’s why an individual review is always carried out before treatment starts, and treatment is tailored based on relevant contraindications and safety factors.
How it works
During HBOT, the pressure inside the chamber is raised gradually and under control. At the same time, you breathe highly concentrated oxygen through a BIBS mask (Built-In Breathing System).
The elevated ambient pressure changes how oxygen can be transported in the body. Beyond the oxygen carried by haemoglobin, more oxygen can dissolve directly in the blood plasma and thereby become available to the body’s tissues.
At Noid, treatment does not follow one and the same standard protocol for everyone. Pressure, treatment time and progression are tailored individually, and a session is usually 65 or 90 minutes depending on the programme and your needs.
Pressure is raised gradually
The chamber is pressurized step by step to the treatment pressure chosen for your protocol. During compression we help you with pressure equalization and check in on how it feels.
Highly concentrated oxygen via BIBS
While treatment is underway you breathe highly concentrated oxygen directly through the BIBS mask. Treatment pressure and time are individually tailored and don’t need to be the same from person to person.
Gradually back to normal pressure
At the end of the session, the pressure is lowered in a controlled way back towards normal atmospheric pressure.
Highly concentrated oxygen, direct via BIBS
BIBS stands for Built-In Breathing System and is an integrated system for oxygen delivery inside the chamber. Instead of filling the chamber itself with highly concentrated oxygen, the chamber is pressurized with breathing air, while the oxygen is led separately and directly to the mask.
The system is designed to give a controlled oxygen supply under elevated pressure. Exhaled gas and carbon dioxide are led away from the mask, which also helps limit oxygen build-up inside the chamber itself. HPO Tech states that their BIBS system is also built to follow your breathing and control the oxygen supply throughout the session.
Unlike setups where oxygen is mixed with the surrounding air, the highly concentrated oxygen we use is delivered directly through an integrated BIBS system.
What an HBOT session looks like
Every HBOT session follows the same basic principle: a controlled pressure profile in three phases. Pressure level and treatment time are tailored to you, and an operator monitors every reading live.

Oxygen diffusion
Oxygen molecules move into the bloodstream and are carried on to tissue with reduced circulation.
Pressure rises gradually
The pressure in the chamber is raised in a controlled, stepwise way throughout the treatment.
65 minutes in the chamber
One continuous session in a calm, relaxing environment.

HBOT Start
For those who want to start HBOT with a broader picture of their starting point and an individually tailored programme from day one.
We combine our biofunctional baseline check-up with selected blood markers and your first HBOT session.
What’s included in HBOT Start
Biofunctional baseline check-up
A broad mapping of physiological parameters, functional markers and signalling patterns that gives us a better picture of your starting point.
Selected blood markers
We complement the mapping with:
- Vitamin D. Gives information about your vitamin D status.
- hs-CRP. A highly sensitive inflammation marker that can give information about low-grade inflammatory activity.
- Blood lipids. Cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides give complementary information about your metabolic and cardiovascular profile.
An individual HBOT programme
We go through your circumstances, goals and relevant safety factors and recommend a programme for how you can continue with HBOT.
Your first HBOT session
A 65-minute HBOT session with highly concentrated oxygen via BIBS and individually tailored treatment pressure.
Health Optimizing CellRegulation
CellRegulation is included alongside your HBOT session as part of our Health Optimizing programme.
After your visit
You get a recommendation for what continued HBOT could look like and which parts may be relevant to follow up over time.
Just want to try HBOT? A single session can of course be booked separately.
HBOT – packages & pricing
You can book a single HBOT session or choose a package if you want to complete a longer series.
Treatment time, pressure and number of sessions are tailored to your individual programme. Our standard time is 65 minutes. When needed, we also offer an extended 95-minute session.
Need 95-minute sessions?
Extended treatment can be added to your programme when relevant. We’ll help you plan which sessions should be 65 versus 95 minutes.
The 95-minute session is used when a longer treatment phase suits the individual programme.

Frequently asked questions
The session is experienced as calm and relaxing. A mild pressure in the ears can occur, similar to the sensation during flying.
A session takes approximately 65 minutes. How often you need to come varies depending on your individual needs and goals.
You do not need to fast before HBOT. Make sure you are well rested and have eaten before your session. At a first visit we review your health history to see whether the treatment is a good fit for you.
The treatment is non-invasive and takes place in a controlled clinical environment. We always review your individual situation to make sure the treatment is suitable before it begins.
